Samsung a few months ago demonstrated technology at the Samsung OLED Forum in China. The technology uses micro conduction and bone conduction to transmit audio to smartphones. Sound on Display is one of the methods that Samsung is using on the next smartphones to avoid the notch.
Samsung wants to exploit commercially the "sound-emitting" OLED technology in 2019, and CES 2019 will be displaying such panels for both smartphones and televisions. It is said that the new year will make their appearance in the market and the first products of the kind. Removing the headset / speaker will logically make room for even more screen on the front of smartphones.
CES 2019 held annually in Las Vegas, USA, and will open its doors from January 8 to January 12.
