The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 features a special sliding mechanism to hide its selfie camera and offer an All-Screen experience to the user. In the following teardown video from JerryRigEverything YouTube channel you can see how this mechanism is internally and how it works.
It uses two pairs of magnets to keep the device in an "open" or "closed" position so that it does not open itself off and does not "stick" to an intermediate position. A cable ribbon connects the two parts of the device for data transfer and power supply. Xiaomi claims the device will be comfortable with up to 300,000 movements.
